Delicious. That's the best way for me to describe Panaderia Jalicso. We've been here and ordered food, picked up baked good, and snagged a bag of chicharrones. Prices are more than fair and service is friendly. Will be back when in the area again.

I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo it is good! And I am from San Diego, so my standards are very high. I'm excited to come back and try more.

I stopped in to pick up pan dulce for my kids yesterday while working nearby. This locally owned bakery is located in the Stead suites of businesses right off the freeway exit. I came across this place while in search of a place to grab a bite for lunch a few years ago. I fell in love with their bread after I fell in love with their tacos. They have a one of a kind bakery, and my kids were spoiled before by having family bake fresh Conchas, and now we load up with our favorites when I'm nearby. I've sat inside eating my lunch there. There are a few dining tables, but not many. Full menu of antojitos, food, and, of course, their fresh pan. While here they were restocking around 1 p.m. The usual lady here is the best. There's never a long wait checking out, and she always remembers me and what I usually buy. We talk about our kids, and work. I'll be a faithful customer as long as their doors are open. I'll see you soon! Thanks for our weekend treats!

I actually do not enjoy going to Mexican bakeries mostly because I don't know what I'm ordering... I knew what a churro was and what hot chocolate was, so I certainly ordered those and was not disappointed. When the lady who works there wasn't too busy, I asked her what she recommended. There was a language barrier but she pointed out a few things and I grabbed them all to try with coworkers at work. Wow!! I'd definitely go back again just to have at the house with coffee for breakfast.

Seen this spot heading home from work. They are known for the Pan (bread). Came to grab some conchas and seen they had food also. Went with the carne asada fries. Man very good portion for the price. Plenty of flavors. Salty, crunch, spicy. Def will be back to get this and try anything else they have.

Moral dilemma: do you keep an excellent little hole-in-the-wall place secret so it doesn't get crazy busy; or do you give them the recognition they deserve which might drive business there and suddenly there'll be lines... Ok well obviously I chose the second thing, you're welcome. This place is seriously good eats. First of all, let's talk about the bakery. You'll walk in and see a huge and beautiful display of Mexican pastries. There are about a billion kinds to choose from and, based on the five or so that I've tried, I am confident that every single one is as good as they look. There's a small seating area if you care to eat in, but I've always gotten it as takeout. There is also a small selection of grocery items, which could come in super handy. Looking at their menu, I notice that they have all kinds of desserts available, including an ice cream sandwich made with a concha! Definitely must try that soon. The other half of the menu is every delicious thing you can think of, from tacos to gorditas, to pupusas, to tamales. I've had some of these things; they are excellent. Highly highly recommend the lengua and cabeza tacos. Yum! They also have a whole bunch of nice looking tortas which are worth trying. I had the milanesa today and WOW was it delicious! There are always freshly made churros available too- don't leave without one! It's a great place. The people are friendly, the food is fresh and delicious, and the wait is never very long. Now you know.
